WHITNEY FRENCH

Whitney French (she/her) is a writer, educator and publisher. She is a certified arts educator and an Assistant Professor in Creative Writing at the University of British Columbia. Her novel-in-verse, Syncopation (Wolsak & Wynn, 2026) was recently released. She is also the co-founder and publisher of Hush Harbour, the only Black queer feminist press in Canada.

Whitney French (elle) est écrivaine, enseignante et éditrice. Elle est professeure adjointe d'écriture créative à l'University of British Columbia et elle est auteure du roman en vers Syncopation (Wolsak & Wynn, 2026). Elle est également cofondatrice et éditrice de Hush Harbour, la seule maison d'édition féministe queer noire du Canada.

QATTUU

Qattuu is a self taught professional throatsinger, vocalist, songwriter and a performing artist. Originally from Panniqtuuq Nunavut,  Qattuu currently lives in Ottawa pursuing her lifelong dream of being a solo artist. Qattuu has performed on world stages, including Manila and Davao in the Philippines, Brussels, Belgium, and Paris, France, sharing her life and talent of throatsinging, singing and drumming. She released her debut album entitled Midnight Sun February 2023 and has since released a few singles.

Qattuu est une chanteuse de gorge professionnelle autodidacte, chanteuse, auteure-compositrice et dramaturge. Originaire de Panniqtuuq, au Nunavut, Qattuu vit actuellement à Ottawa et poursuit son rêve de toujours : devenir artiste solo. Elle s'est produite sur des scènes internationales, notamment à Manille et Davao aux Philippines, à Bruxelles en Belgique et à Paris en France, partageant sa vie et son talent pour le chant de gorge, le chant et les percussions. Son premier album, intitulé Midnight Sun, est paru en février 2023, suivi de quelques singles.

SHŌ YAMAGUSHIKU

Shō Yamagushiku’s work is grounded in a diasporic consciousness. He writes from the homelands of the Lekwungen and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples (Victoria, BC). His first poetry collection, entitled shima, reflects ancestors, violence, and tradition.

L'œuvre de Shō Yamagushiku s'enracine dans une conscience diasporique. Il écrit depuis les terres ancestrales des peuples Lekwungen et W̱SÁNEĆ (Victoria, Colombie-Britannique). Son premier recueil de poésie, intitulé shima, explore les thèmes des ancêtres, de la violence et de la tradition.
